The strange opening credits were designed by J.J. Abrams on his laptop in black and white as an homage to The Twilight Zone. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of the hit show LOST. You’ve seen the previews, read the 5-star reviews, and heard the chatter about it at the water cooler.
Get the picture?
If you haven’t started watching it yet, you might be wondering if you should start watching. Well, let’s put it this way. If you like action shows, you’ll love LOST. If you like comedy shows, you’ll love LOST. If you like shows where you can watch an episode twice and watch it in a completely different form, you’ll love LOST. If you like shows where every scene has meaning…
It’s confusing at first
Quite simply, if you’ve ever liked a TV show, you’ll be hooked. LOST is a show about a plane crash on a mysterious island. There are 48 survivors, but the focus of the show is on 14 of them, all with secrets. But as the series progresses, friendships develop and we learn that there’s more to the island than meets the eye… The characters are fantastic – don’t pay attention to those who say the cast is so diverse it’s cliché, they’re probably the same people who would criticize it if it was all white. In short, watch it.
Why aren’t you watching?
You’ll be hooked, unless you’re one of those sloppy people who gets a hernia if every detail in the first episode isn’t exactly right. Otherwise, I have to ask… 10/1
